Ja, die Software hat kein Ablaufdatum. Sie funktioniert solange, bis Microsoft sich eine Inkompatibilität ausdenkt.

Das kostenlose Programm zum Erstellen von SEP3-Dateien.

Mit Inkrafttreten des Geologiedatengesetzes (GeolDG) kann von Behörden eine elektronische Übermittlung von Fachdaten verlangt werden. Diese haben dafür ein „interoperables Format“ zu benennen. In der Praxis wird das Format für Bohrungen wohl bei den meisten Behörden auf SEP 3 herauslaufen.
